Job Overview:

The Civil/Structural Designer utilizes 3D modeling and drafting software in the production of civil and structural design drawings for Oil & Gas, LNG, and Renewables Industry projects including structures, piperacks, modules, foundations, etc. The work includes conceptual studies, FEEDs, estimates, detail design, and construction support.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Working under the supervision of designers and engineers in the production of civil/structural design

  • Utilize 3D modeling software tools to model civil and structural items

  • Prepare and check plan, section, and detail drawings

  • Prepare and check bulk material take offs

  • Update / scrub drawings based on checker or engineering feedback

  • Perform drafting/design computations

  • Provide administrative support to the civil / structural lead designer

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • High School diploma – Associate degree preferred

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Renewable, or related field

  • Drafting software knowledge (Autocad, Microstation, etc.)

  • Modeling software knowledge (S3D, E3D, etc.)

  • Ability to learn and maintain design within our company methods and procedures

  • Strong communication skill and professional ethics

Preferred Qualifications and Education:

  • Associate degree
